1. When cleaning the vehicle, it is strictly forbidden to spray water directly on the combination valve to avoid causing unnecessary failures of the ABS system.
2. Before performing vehicle welding tasks, be sure to unplug the power harness of the ABS system to prevent the ECU (electronic control unit) from being damaged by current shock.
3. Ensure that the brake air circuit of the tractor is unobstructed, without leakage or insufficient air pressure, to ensure the stability and reliability of its conventional braking function.
4. The pipeline filter equipped on the trailer needs regular maintenance. It is recommended to clean it every three months to keep the inside of the pipeline clean and effectively prevent damage to the ABS system.
5. Check the tightness of the sensor connector regularly and deal with it immediately if it is loose. When replacing, be sure to dock accurately to ensure that the air circuit corresponds to the sensor one by one, and the brake air pipe on the same side is correctly connected to the outlet on the same side of the combination valve.
6. When performing wheel hub maintenance, please be careful to avoid scratching the surface of the gear ring. If the gear ring or nearby area is contaminated with dust and oil, it needs to be cleaned in time, and the wheel speed sensor should be cleaned at the same time to ensure its normal operation.
7. Before installing the wheel, push the sensor to the limit position to maintain the proper gap between the sensor and the gear ring. When installing the wheel hub, please use the correct method and avoid rough operation to avoid damaging the components.
8. When facing slippery roads, there is no need to use continuous braking during emergency braking. Simply stepping on the brake pedal with all your strength can achieve the best braking effect.
9. Given that conventional braking dominates daily driving, the ABS system is usually not directly involved in the braking process, so it will not cause wheel overheating under normal circumstances. However, abnormally high temperatures still need to be vigilant because it may have an adverse effect on sensor performance.
10. If the ABS system fails, users must not disassemble or repair system components without authorization. The correct approach is to contact the ABS manufacturer or the company's designated after-sales service department for professional consultation or processing services.
LUEN provides trailers/trucks with ABS systems. Please feel free to contact us if you need them.
