The supporting force, braking force, and driving force of the vehicle are all transmitted through the suspension system, and it can also reduce the impact of bad roads on the vehicle and ensure the stability of the vehicle. , its importance is self-evident. Suspensions are generally divided into independent and non-independent suspensions. For semi-trailers, due to the need for strong carrying capacity, non-independent suspensions are used, and there are four types of suspensions for common semi-trailers.

rigid suspension

Rigid suspension is that the left and right wheels are connected by an axle, and the chassis of the body acts directly on the axle. The shock absorption effect of this kind of axle is very poor, and the longitudinal unevenness of the road surface is completely adapted by the swing of the balance beam, so as to maintain the relative balance of the front and rear axles.

This kind of suspension is rarely used at present, and is mainly used on low-axis low-bed semi-trailers that carry goods at low speeds.

single point suspension

The single-point suspension is to reduce the common leaf spring front and rear brackets into a single bracket connected to the car body. Its force point is shared on the front and rear axles. Compared with the ordinary leaf spring suspension, the single-point suspension has a higher bearing capacity. big.

This kind of suspension is rarely used on ordinary semi-trailers, and is mainly used on heavy vehicles.

steel plate suspension

The steel plate suspension is our common leaf spring, and its full name is series-connected leaf spring balanced suspension. It is mainly composed of leaf springs, suspension supports (commonly known as lifting lugs), connecting rods, U-shaped bolts and other parts. The longitudinal force of the body is directly on one axle.

The biggest advantages of this kind of suspension are cheap price, good reliability and convenient maintenance. At present, more than 80% of ordinary domestic semi-trailers use leaf spring balanced suspension.

air suspension

The most obvious feature of the air suspension is its airbag-type air spring. The air spring itself is relatively light in weight, the air medium in the airbag has less friction, and there is almost no noise during operation, and its life is 2-3 times that of the leaf spring. However, when an air spring is used, a rod system capable of transmitting various forces and moments other than the vertical force must be provided, so the suspension structure is complicated; in addition, the air spring has strict requirements on sealing, and its cost is also high.

At present, air suspension for domestic trailers is mostly used in high-end fields such as precision instrument transportation, tobacco transportation, and hazardous chemical transportation.
